Looking for a new office chair on Amazon and I came across this. I might just do it. My current $30 chair is no bueno, and I had wanted to keep this around $100. This ones about $150 but it may just be worth it.

Why not get a used seat from ebay from a nice car, and bolt it to a study base?

Yeah. Grab a Ricardo, fab up a rail-to-hydraulic-lifter adapter, and sit in sweet, ass-squeezing comfort all day long.

That requires ingenuity...
I would much rather pay a few dollars more and let amazon have it on my doorstep in 2 days.

Step 1: go to junkyard
Step 2: pick best front seat you can find (I prefer the 2000 Durango buckets, super comfy)
Step 3: go to Home Depot grab some 2x4s and build a small base.
Step 3: relax in your awesome seat that "you" built for under 60$
Optional step you can put wheels on the base and hook up a battery to keep the electronics working, this makes your awesome seat even awesomer!

fair enough. i just think a nice vintage Saab seat is worth the extra effort rather than a cheap chinese chair. that being said, im sitting on some ikea garbage currently.
